LETTER FROM TURKIYE
Serinyol Music House Solar Panel Project Report
Serinyol Music House is a music house where lessons are held for 96 hours per week, with 250 children and 35 adults per month. After the February 6 earthquakes in Hatay, there were frequent power outages due to infrastructure problems. These outages disrupted the campus and especially the music house. Due to the outages, air conditioners could not be used both in hot weather and in cold weather in winter , cold water fountains did not work, electrical instruments could not be used and lessons could not be held in the classrooms. An average of 10 lesson hours per week had to be postponed . This situation not only disrupted the children's instrument training ,but also caused them to be deprived of the psychological and social support they needed during this process.
With your generous support, solar panels were installed on 3 nurseries belonging to Serinyol Music House on 05.07.2024. Thus, although infrastructure problems continue as of this date, there were 13 power outages in total, and an average of 50 lesson hours would be interrupted due to these outages, but these problems have been eliminated thanks to solar panels. Now the weekly lesson program is not disrupted and children can study in the comfortable environment they deserve.
